· Likes bringing guests to events and different payment options

· Name tags at all events

· “I do have…an issue with the fact that we do not allow men to be members or to be involved…We are all part of our community and should have the opportunity to come together to help.”

The focus of the Impact 100 model is on women working together to improve their community. Men are always welcome to our social and volunteer events. If you have a male in your life who would like to be a member of a philanthropic organization, please call The Community Foundation at 772-288-3795 to get information on the fund that they have that is a men-only organization.

· Place focus on organizations that do not fit the requirements of larger funders (e.g. United Way)-look at organizations that may fall out of the realm of our mission but that fit within our parameters (e.g. Heathcote capital project that provides a safe environment for children’s programs).

The members of the Impact 100 St. Lucie Grant Review Committee consider all aspects of a non-profit’s application; that being said, what it always boils down to in their decisions is the “nice” versus “necessary” component. Some of the Letters of Intent and applications we receive are difficult to advance when others are focused on poverty, homelessness, mental health etc. Please consider joining the Grant Review Committee next year to see for yourself the challenges the members face.

· Introduce board members at each meeting-have them provide information on their role and the committees they chair (perhaps a “getting to know” feature in the newsletter-annual year model-dividing the grant money among more non-profits rather than awarding $100,000 to just one-provide membership with information on each finalist well in advance of the meeting (even a link to each finalist’s website)-provide presentation coaching to each finalist’s presenter to even the voting “playing” field.

The model of our organization is Impact 100 giving a $100,000 grant to one non-profit. Diluting that amount would not provide the needed impact to any organization.

The committee chairs will be presenting information in the monthly newsletter to keep everyone up-to-date.

The Grant Review Committee is discussing releasing information on each finalist to all the members in advance of the Award Celebration.

· Two members praised the Executive Committee and the work they are doing.

Thank you.
